Proverbs 12:24

I was reading the Bible this morning and came across an awesome Proverb on success and leadership. It is.....

"The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor." Proverbs 12:24(NKJV)

Unlike the hardworking people who have charge over their work and therefore their lives (Leaders), the lazy are followers and do not have control over their lives. Some examples would be the life of a self employed person like a plumber, or a partner at a CPA firm and entrepreneurs. Their potential is only limited by how hard they work. These people are the hardest working people in the country and have been that way since birth. Whereas the person that just barely got through high school and college is working a 9 to 5 job making X amount a year no matter how hard they work…..which is usually only the bare minimum.

That is why I love Orrin Woodward's Team Leadership Development System. They stress the importance of getting out there, not being lazy and making something out of your life. In addition to reading books on leadership, the Team's system recommended at a Men's Leadership meeting to read the proverbs everyday. I have been doing it for a couple months now and I can't tell you how much it has made an impact in my life. This book (Proverbs) is jam packed with wisdom on leadership and many aspects that can add to your lives.

A Blueprint for Success!

I found this great quote from William A. Ward in Launching A Leadership Revolution. In my mind it is a perfect blueprint for success.

"Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing; prepare while others are playing; and dream while others are wishing."
- William A. Ward.
